NewVet 2023-01-16

I was newly graduated vet and I experienced same issue. They had add looking for veterinarians to which I applied to. Just to find out during our interview that they wanted me to start working as a nurse. I initially agreed to that because I needed a job. But when i came to work I realized that that job title means no real contact with animals. My work days consisted of 8 hours straight cleaning of desks, operating rooms, medicine cabinets, floors, stacking of goods etc. Never felt more humiliated in my life, to spend 6 years at university to end up cleaning floors in the hospital. At some point i stopped talking to others as my self esteem went really low, I just wanted to be invisible and to get my job done until I found new job where I actually started working as a vet.
