The Comrades' Fund Foundation
In 2005, the Forestry Academics' Union set up the Kamratfonden Foundation from the money left over from the merger with the Natural Sciences Union. The distribution of the Kamratfonden is based on the direct return from the previous year.
Grants from the Kamratfonden Foundation can be applied for by forestry academics or by those studying for a forestry degree. The purpose is to support and encourage and strengthen the cohesion between forestry academics. Members of Naturvetarna and Delförbundet Skogsakademikerna have priority.
Grants can be applied for:
- study trips,
- skills enhancement,
- needy forestry academics or needy relatives of deceased forestry academics,
- encouraging or rewarding forestry academics who have made a significant contribution to enhancing the competence or reputation of forestry academics
- activities to promote well-being.
Applications to the Comradeship Fund can normally be made once a year. The applications are prepared by the fund's board and these must be received by the Kamratfonden Foundation no later than April 15. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the application no later than one month after the decision has been taken by the Board. Application documents will not be returned.
