Medical physicists are a licensed professional group. SSFF also represents Swedish medical physicists in the European Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (EFOMP).
What does the Swedish Society of Hospital Physicists do?
- works to ensure that the competence ladder for hospital physicists is implemented and that the specialist designation for hospital physicists is implemented in AID (work identification for municipalities and county councils)
- aims to create the conditions for raising the status and thus the salaries of its members
- publishes the magazine Sjukhusfysikern four times a year
- co-organizes the National Meeting for Hospital Physics
- supports annual training days for hospital physicists
- compiles detailed salary statistics for its members annually
- provides a mailing list of Swedish hospital physicists at www.sjukhusfysiker.se.
