Negotiation assistance
Our ombudsmen can represent you in legal or contractual negotiations if a dispute arises between you and your employer. This can involve anything from employment relationships to wrongful dismissal, provided that we judge that it has not been done correctly. Naturvetarna can also help you if a salary payment is missing.
You may be entitled to negotiation assistance after you have been a member for three months. If you have switched to Naturvetarna from another union and there is no gap between your memberships, you may be entitled to negotiation assistance immediately. If you receive negotiation assistance, it is important that you follow Naturvetarna's advice and the terms of the assistance.
Legal aid
If a negotiation ends in disagreement, i.e. the conflict is not resolved, and we consider that there are grounds for taking the case to court, Naturvetarna can grant legal aid. Legal aid means that Naturvetarna offers free representation in court or arbitration board. In work injury cases, we can offer legal aid if a member has been rejected and we assess that there are conditions to support the member with an appeal.
As a member, you may be entitled to legal aid after three months from becoming a member. There is no unconditional right to legal aid. If the Union considers that there is a reasonable chance of success in legal proceedings, legal aid may be granted.
Legal aid can be withdrawn if the situation changes. If you are granted legal aid, it is important that you follow Naturvetarna's advice and the terms of the aid.
