If you have been employed for the last six months or for a total of at least twelve months in the last two years, you have the right under the law on leave for business activities to take up to six months off work to carry out business activities. The right to leave applies to a single occasion with one and the same employer.
However, there are exceptions to the right to leave:
- Your own business activity must not compete with your employer.
- Your employer may refuse to allow you to take leave if it would cause significant inconvenience to the employer.
If you want to interrupt your leave and return to work early, you must inform your employer as soon as possible. The employer has the right to postpone your return for up to one month.
