Do you need to be told what to do when you are on leave?

You don't normally have to tell us what you're going to do in your free time.
Time off such as flexitime and comp time cannot be taken if it does not work for the business. Therefore, in some cases, you may need to consult your employer about taking flexitime, for example, and the reason why you need time off may be relevant.
