Do I need to get Kivra to receive a payslip?
There is no regulation under labor law that gives employees the right to a payslip. Your employer is not legally obliged to give you a payslip. However, if your employer has a collective agreement, there may be rules regarding this that they are obliged to follow. If you have a collective agreement, I recommend that you check the agreement to see what regulations there are regarding this (you can find most collective agreements for salaried employees on our website: Collective agreement - Naturvetarna).
As there is no statutory regulation for your employer to offer you payslips, you do not have the right to demand to receive payslips by post.
The regulation that exists in legislation is according to the Tax Procedure Act, which states that you must be able to provide information to the Swedish Tax Agency about the amount of tax deducted up to six years back in time. This applies to the tax that has been deducted from your salary and not the salary itself, so information/extracts on tax deductions are required by law to be provided by your employer. However, there is no regulation on how they should provide the information.
However, I recommend that you still raise the issue with your employer, perhaps they have the opportunity to solve the situation in some other way for those of you who do not have Kivra.
