Naturvetarna and other trade unions work to negotiate favorable collective agreements for their members. Collective agreements give you a range of benefits, such as longer holidays, notice periods and parental allowances. We also promote issues that are important to the working lives of scientists.
The more people who are members of a trade union, the more legitimacy and strength we have in negotiations with employers. By being a member, you support our efforts to sign favorable agreements.
If you work in a workplace without a collective agreement, you should also be a member. We can advise you on what is important to consider in your employment contract, such as pensions and sick pay.

Being a member of a trade union gives you security, from the moment you start studying and throughout your working life. If you are ever out of work, we will support you and our income insurance will secure your income. Remember that you should also be a member of Akademikernas a-kassa.
