How we ensure accessibility on naturvetarna.se
Accessibility is an integral part of the development of naturvetarna.se. When we build new features, we require them to be both user-friendly and accessible according to WCAG 2.1.
We also continuously improve the parts of the website that already exist. We do this by measuring accessibility and following up on the results of our audits.
To ensure that content is accessible to all, we have developed editorial guidelines based on the WCAG criteria. Content is regularly reviewed to ensure compliance with the guidelines.
In some cases, we may deviate from standard practice - but only when there are good reasons based on the needs of the end user in the specific context.
To make our website more accessible, we use independent digital tools that automatically detect non-compliance with the Web Accessibility Directive. The information we receive helps us identify gaps and address them on an ongoing basis.
Continuous improvement using digital tools
By analyzing the reports from these tools, we can quickly take action and ensure that our website meets accessibility requirements. It's a work in progress that makes our website better for everyone - regardless of their ability.
To comply with current accessibility directives, we regularly audit our website. The last audit was carried out in June 2025 by our web provider Consid.
